End of Summer and Mushrooms are popping…

Autumn is always a pretty cool time in the Pacific Northwest:  kids heading back to school, football games, salmon returning to spawn in local streams, and mushrooms popping up in my backyard with the first big rains.  Like those mushrooms, the Clever Rain team has been a little “stealthy” this summer but with new season we’re ready to emerge with lots of changes that I am personally very excited about!

Here’s a few of my favorite new items coming with our upcoming release of The Droplet Engine:

·  Droplet Engine for Free: Yep, you can use the Droplet Engine for nothing. You’ll receive 100 Droplets a month and if you run out, you can buy more Droplets as you need them.

·  Enhanced Droplet Designer: This is really cool! Khanh and the dev team added a new HTML editor, full color control, expanded fonts, simplified positioning, YouTube channel integration and “effects” (like slide in and fade in). We’re excited to be offering these new abilities.

·  Droplet Templates: These are “pre-fab” designs to you get their Droplets designed and deployed quickly!

·  Basic Rule Builder: This was DJ’s brain-child – make rule building as simple as answering a few questions about how you want to engage your visitors.  I think you’ll really like how much easier it is to get your rules defined with this new model!

The end of summer also means that our interns, Sean and Daniel, will be heading back to the University of Washington to complete their undergrads.  You guys have been awesome!! You’ve implemented some great features, fixed a bunch of bugs and have practiced the craft of building and delivering software.  It’s been a lot of fun with you on the team and I want to wish you both the best as you return to school and finish up your degrees!!

Our latest release of Droplet will be in production in late September, just in time to see the first of this year’s salmon run and to wonder where those mushrooms have been all summer.

Droplet is a fantastic tool for any brick and mortar business that wants to increase foot traffic from website visitors.
